~ 10/31/2007 08:16:00 PM ~
i've kinda been... too lazy to blog recently.
anyway, it's week 3 and almost all of us are drained already.
fuck man. what kinda semester is this turning out to be?
i still haven't adjusted to school life.
and the timetable sucks.
i dislike how i end at 6 on tues and thurs.
:( miss sleeping in the clubhouse with An. ROAR!

oh. i read the papers the other day on how section 377a of the penal code will not be changed.
but.. that's not the main point.
the main point is how childish singaporeans become while trying to put forth their views.
the article talked about how singaporeans get so uncouth and uncivilised while debating the subject.
really, i am immensely ashamed my singaporeans' lack of control, and narrow-mindedness.
speaking of narrow-mindedness, it brings me to my next point.
what is wrong with changing section 377a?
it is so discriminatory.
isn't singapore trying to get rid of discrimination? wait, okay.. not get rid of it, but at least lessen it.
even though the government said that they won't enforce this law actively, it is still a niggling presence, however (not-so)subtle.
Today newspaper claims that if section 377a was changed, religious groups, homophobics and whatnot will start questioning their importance in soiciety.
but it's time those groups came to their senses.
i mean, seriously what IS wrong with gays and lesbians?
don't give me that moralistic and religious crap - that is just something given by narrow-minded idiots who care only for themselves, and their "dream society".
they are merely hiding behind those excuses so as to cover up the real reasons - that they cannot accept the thought of gays having sex, sticking their equipment into each others' anuses.
but... HELLO? what IS wrong with that?
even men and women have anal sex between them, so give me a reason why gays can't do the same.
homos are just like us, with the exception of their sexual orientation... and THAT can't really be helped.
they deserve respect. just like any one of us.
and just as how we want to show the world who we TRULY are, these gays want to too. so why can't we give them a chance?
it's already the 21st century.
those people have to learn to open up in order for singapore to progress.
