i just saw llb's post on the ahscds blog about xiangying 2007.
wouldn't have visited it if not for yy talking about it.
and i am, seriously and totally, appalled by the state ahscds is in now.
what happened to it?
everything that i loved in it seems to have changed.
in fact, now, when i go back to visit, there is no longer the warm, familiar sense of a family.
why don't they love cds as much as we did?
they make it seem as though all they do for the cca now is just a job.
i read through the tags that some of the juniors posted on the blog, and something hit me right in the face.
says one of them "lol...yy not seniors can help our batch by explainin benefits or priorities of their respective comm. posts?"
don't they understand that it's the passion that brings people to want to be in the committee?
it's not the benefits they derive from whatever post they get, but rather, what they are willing to give.
the initiative + commitment.
if there's no passion, no love for the cca, how can you ever do the job properly?
in fact, this applies to everything, and not just the cca.
reading llb's post, talking about how many actors/actresses did not turn up for rehearsals... it came as sucha huge shock to me.
thinking back, we could stay till late at night, rehearsing the same thing over and over again just to achieve perfection.
fuck stress and whatnot. it was doing 0ur best that counted. and yet, these juniors just flick their responsibility away without giving it the slightest thought.

do they even sing the drama song with their soul?
or is it just a thoughtless mouthing of the words?

i loved ahscds, and still do.
please don't destroy the very essence of it -- the familiar atmosphere of passion and family.
